Challenges

Students in our society face a barrier in their journey to become successful and strong adults. Over 15 million students in 2017 are unable to pursue their career education from high school to university, of which 9 million are from low-income families and are considered physically deprived (lunch, clothes, books, stationary). As teachers, we have witnessed the social inequality of opportunity and the disparity in education. Whether a student does not comprehend the importance of education or how life can be worthwhile, education has become a significant barrier to enabling better lives. At EdWINGs, we exist solely because of the ongoing human capital crisis due to poor education, lack of quality education, or inaccessibility to one. We come to realize that this is our organization’s single mission – which is to support the foundations of lifelong education and reduce the social inequality in years to come.

Solution

Our organization’s focus is to venture to schools that will create opportunities for students who initially were not granted the same opportunities. This may be due to numerous reasons: traveling difficulties, increasing general expenses, or lacking academic requirements. The data we collected has allowed us to discover school requirements that will help them reach their potential – some schools need a unique solution unlike any other school. To tackle the complex education issues, we launched several education intervention programs that will confront each issue from a unique standpoint. This is to create a unique solution designed to resolve the issues at each school and to improve student’s lives outside of school in the community and in the family. We can build a better Thai education future through the utilization of data; in return we generate perceptions and wisdom that are evidence-based and fact-driven.
