ภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้บอกเล่าเรื่องราวของ “ค่ายแม่หละ” หนึ่งในค่ายผู้ลี้ภัยที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในแนวชายแดนไทย-เมียนมาร์ รวมไปถึงเรื่องราวของผู้คนที่อยู่ในนั้น ที่ซึ่งเป็นบ้านของผู้ลี้ภัยมากกว่า 40,000 คน มานานกว่า 30 ปี
ผ่านบทสนทนานับครั้งไม่ถ้วนระหว่างผู้อาศัยในค่ายในระหว่างการถ่ายทำ นำพาให้พบวิถีชีวิตที่แตกต่างอย่างน่าหลงใหล ทุกอย่างเกิดขึ้นบนฉากหลังของค่ายที่กำลังจะปิดตัวลงและการเตรียมการส่งตัวกลับประเทศที่ใกล้เข้ามา

The daily life at the Narathiwat family’s home and the past of Usman, the inmate in the “Budu Explosion Case” involving the arrest of teenagers from three southern border provinces at a student dormitory in the Ramkhamhaeng area in 2016, who has been detained for over 4 years.
Capital of Mae La

This short film tells the story of Mae La camp, one of the largest refugee camps along the Thailand-Myanmar border, and of the people who live there. In 2014, I accompanied anthropologist Jiraporn Laocharoenwong, to visit the camp, which has been a home for over 40,000 refugees for more than 30 years.
Through numbers of conversations with camp inhabitants we met during our film shooting, we came across individuals whose lives are fascinating with unique stories. Everything takes place against the backdrop of the camp's impending closure and preparation for repatriation.
