วัดดอนจั่น เชียงใหม่ ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปี 1985 โดยพระครูปราโมทย์ประชานุกูล เจ้าอาวาสวัดดอนจั่น เพื่อช่วยเหลือเยาวชนของชาติ ให้เติบโตไปเป็นผู้ใหญ่ที่มีคุณภาพ โดยใช้หลัก ศีล สมาธิ ปัญญา ในการดำเนินชีวิต ให้การศึกษาตั้งแต่ระดับประถมถึงระดับอาชีวะ และส่งเรียนต่อปริญญาตรีที่มหาวิทยาลัยของรัฐ เป็นโครงการ กิน นอน เรียน อยู่ที่วัด ซึ่งเป็นเด็กยากจน เด็กกำพร้า ขาดโอกาสขาดที่พึ่ง กลุ่มพ่อ-แม่ตาย หย่าร้าง ติดคุก ติดเชื้อ HIV ปัจจุบัน พระอาจารย์อานันท์ อานันโท เป็นเจ้าอาวาสวัดดอนจั่น เชียงใหม่



Watdonchan Chiangmai was established in 1985 by Phra Khru Pramote Prachanukoon, the former abbot of Wat Don Chan, to assist the nation's youth to grow into quality adults, guided by principles of discipline, meditation, and wisdom in their life. It provides education from primary to vocational levels and even supports further studies at state universities. This is part of the 'Eat, Sleep, Study at the Temple' project, which benefits impoverished children, the destitute, the disadvantaged, children of deceased or divorced parents, children of prisoners, and children infected with HIV. Currently, Phra Ajarn Anan Ananto is the abbot of Watdonchan Chiangmai.

Watdonchan Chiangmai provides for over 550 destitute and needy children. They support the donation of items to help these disadvantaged children.
