Tamtang was established in 2011 as a non-profit organization. It was formed by a group of women activists who recognized the importance of safety in life and women's rights to their own bodies. The organization operates to provide correct knowledge to women who are facing unplanned pregnancies. They offer phone consultations where the group listens, inquires, and suggests solutions for women. Additionally, they actively push for more tangible recognition and acceptance in society's policies, such as participating in signing petitions through the website Change.org to reduce and eliminate discrimination against women.
