Greenpeace ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปี 1971 จากกลุ่มนักกิจกรรมจากเมืองแวนคูเวอร์ แคนาดา เป็นองค์กรรณรงค์อิสระระดับโลกที่ลงมือทำเพื่อเปลี่ยนแปลงทัศนคติ และพฤติกรรม ปกป้องสิ่งแวดล้อม และส่งเสริมสันติภาพ

Greenpeace Thailand เริ่มดำเนินการในประเทศไทยเมื่อปี 2000 เป็นองค์กรไม่แสวงหาผลกำไร โดยดำเนินงานรณรงค์เพื่อปกป้องสิทธิทางสิ่งแวดล้อมซึ่งเป็นสิทธิขั้นพื้นฐานของทุกคนในสังคม โดยทำงานร่วมกับชุมชน และเครือข่ายประชาชนที่หลากหลายเพื่อสร้างการเปลี่ยนผ่านระบบพลังงานหมุนเวียนที่สะอาด ผลักดันความเป็นธรรมด้านสภาพภูมิอากาศ ต่อต้านการทำประมงที่ผิดกฏหมายและร่วมปกป้องทะเลไทย ส่งเสริมเกษตรกรรมเชิงนิเวศและเปิดโปงอาชญากรรมสิ่งแวดล้อม



Greenpeace was established in 1971 by activists from Vancouver, Canada, as a global non-governmental organization aimed at changing attitudes and behaviors, protecting the environment, and promoting peace.

Greenpeace Thailand began its operations in 2000 as a non-profit organization, campaigning to protect environmental rights, which are fundamental rights for everyone in society. They work collaboratively with communities and diverse networks to advocate for clean renewable energy systems, push for climate justice, oppose illegal fishing, and participate in the protection of the Thai seas. They also promote sustainable agriculture and expose environmental crimes.

• We organize #VoteForClimate campaigns to choose environmentally just policies from political parties.
• We disclose environmental policies proposed by political parties on the Wevis website to monitor the movement of various policies.
