มูลนิธิเพื่อนสัตว์ป่า ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปี 2001 เป็นองค์กรไม่แสวงหาผลกำไร ที่ช่วยเหลือและเป็นแหล่งพักพิงให้กับสัตว์ที่ถูกทารุณกรรม หรือถูกทอดทิ้งทั้งทางร่างกายและจิตใจ ทางมูลนิธิจะนำสัตว์เหล่านั้นมาเลี้ยงดูและฟื้นฟูก่อนจะนำกลับคืนสู่ธรรมชาติอีกครั้งอย่างมีมาตรฐาน และจัดสรรสภาพแวดล้อมให้ใกล้เคียงกับธรรมชาติมากที่สุด โดยพื้นที่ที่ทางมูลนิธิใช้ดูแลสัตว์ป่า ตั้งอยู่ในพื้นที่วัดพระพุทธบาทเขาลูกช้าง จังหวัดเพชรบุรี ซึ่งได้รับความอนุเคราะห์จากเจ้าอาวาสให้ใช้พื้นที่ป่าของวัดสำหรับเป็นที่อาศัยของสัตว์ในความดูแลของทางมูลนิธิ

เอ็ดวิน วีค ประธานมูลนิธิเพื่อนสัตว์ป่า ดำเนินงานโดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ คือ

1. การให้ความรู้กับประชาชนให้หยุดทารุณกรรมสัตว์
2. เป็นสื่อกลางให้ความรู้แก่ชาวบ้านเพื่อทำความเข้าใจและเห็นคุณค่าของการปกป้องสัตว์ป่า
3. เป็นผู้บุกเบิกและริเริ่มโครงการปล่อยสัตว์กลับคืนสู่ธรรมชาติ
4. ร่วมโครงการและกิจกรรมเพื่อการกุศลกับหน่วยงานต่างๆ



The Wildlife Friends Foundation was established in 2001 as a non-profit organization to help and provide sanctuary for animals that have been abused or abandoned both physically and emotionally. The foundation brings these animals in, cares for them, rehabilitates them before returning them back to nature in a standardized manner, and provides an environment that is as close to nature as possible. The area that the foundation uses to care for wildlife is located in the territory of Wat Phra Phutthabat Khao Luk Chang, Phetchaburi Province, which is graciously allowed by the abbot to use the forest area of the temple as a habitat for the animals under the foundation's care.

Edwin Wiek, the president of the Wildlife Friends Foundation, operates with the following objectives:

1. To educate the public to stop animal cruelty.
2. To act as a medium to educate locals to understand and appreciate the value of wildlife protection.
3. To be the pioneer and initiator of projects for releasing animals back into the wild.
4. To participate in projects and activities for charity with various organizations.

1. ศูนย์อนุบาลสัตว์ป่า: เป็นศูนย์ให้ความช่วยเหลือและฟื้นฟูสัตว์ป่าที่เคยถูกเลี้ยงไว้เพื่อเป็นสัตว์เลี้ยง หรือใช้เพื่อผลประโยชน์ในอุตสาหกรรมการท่องเที่ยว
2. ศูนย์ศึกษาและช่วยเหลือช้าง: เป็นแหล่งที่อยู่อาศัยและช่วยเหลือช้างเร่ร่อนตามท้องถนน และใช้ในการท่องเที่ยว หากท่านสนใจทำงานเกี่ยวกับช้างท่านสามารถมาเป็นอาสาสมัครร่วมกับเราได้
3. คลินิกเคลื่อนที่เพื่อนสัตว์ป่า: เป็นรถพยาบาลที่ตกแต่งไว้พร้อมสำหรับการช่วยเหลือสัตว์ป่าและเป็นรถคลินิกเคลื่อนที่คันเดียวในแถบอินโดจีน ซึ่งอุปกรณ์ทางการแพทย์และการออกแบบตกแต่งรถได้รับความสนับสนุนจากองค์กร Care for the Wild

1. Wildlife Rehabilitation Center: This is a facility that assists and rehabilitates wildlife that has been kept as pets or used for the tourism industry.
2. Elephant Aid and Education Center: This is a shelter and aid center for street-wandering elephants and those used in tourism. If you are interested in working with elephants, you can volunteer with us.
3. Mobile Wildlife Friends Clinic: This is an ambulance that is equipped and ready to assist wildlife. It is the only mobile clinic in the Indo-China region. The medical equipment and vehicle modifications are supported by the Care for the Wild organization.
4. Gibbon Rehabilitation Center.
5. Forest Restoration Project.
6. Education Center: This is a center that provides knowledge about wildlife in Thailand, open to students of all ages to visit, with foundation staff or volunteers acting as educators.
