มูลนิธิเครือข่ายเพื่อนกะเทยเพื่อสิทธิมนุษยชน ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปี 2016 เป็นองค์กรไม่แสวงหาผลกำไร ที่เป็นการรวมตัวของคนที่เกิดมาแล้วถูกระบุว่าเป็นชาย แต่รับรู้ว่าตัวเองเป็นอีกเพศหนึ่ง รวมถึงบุคคล กลุ่มคน และหน่วยงานที่สนับสนุนสิทธิมนุษยชนและสุขภาวะทางเพศของกะเทยในสังคมไทย มีเป้าหมายเพื่อสนับสนุนให้กะเทยในสังคมไทยมีคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดีขึ้นอย่างรอบด้าน เพื่อรวบรวมข้อมูลและผลิตชุดข้อมูลความรู้ด้านต่างๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับกะเทย พร้อมทั้งรณรงค์สร้างความเข้าใจในตัวตนและสิทธิของกะเทยเพื่อพัฒนาสังคมไทย

เจษฎา แต้สมบัติ หนึ่งในผู้ร่วมก่อตั้ง และรณภูมิ สามัคคีคารมย์ ประธานกรรมการ มูลนิธิเครือข่ายเพื่อนกะเทยเพื่อสิทธิมนุษยชน มีการดำเนินงาน เพื่อสร้างความเข้าใจและยอมรับในอัตลักษณ์ของกะเทยในการอยู่ร่วมกันในสังคม ผลักดันเชิงนโยบายกับหน่วยงานของรัฐและหน่วยงานอื่นที่เกี่ยวข้อง ในการส่งเสริมและพัฒนาเพื่อให้เกิดความเท่าเทียมกันในสังคมและการยอมรับบทบาทของกะเทย และสร้างความร่วมมือกับองค์กรการกุศลและองค์กรสาธารณประโยชน์ เพื่อสาธารณประโยชน์ทั้งในระดับภายในประเทศและระดับสากล



Thai Transgender Alliance-ThaiTGA was established in 2016 as a non-profit organization that aims to bring together individuals who were assigned male at birth but identify as another gender, including individuals, groups, and organizations that support the human rights and well-being of transgender people in Thai society. Its goal is to support transgender individuals in Thai society to have an improved quality of life in all aspects. The foundation collects data and produces various knowledge resources related to transgender issues while advocating for self-identity and the rights of transgender individuals to develop Thai society.

Jesada Taesombat, one of the co-founders, and Rangpoom Sangmukkharm, the chairperson of the foundation, work towards promoting understanding and acceptance of transgender identities in coexistence within society. They engage in policy advocacy with government agencies and other relevant organizations to promote equality in society and acceptance of the roles of transgender individuals. They also collaborate with charitable and non-governmental organizations for both domestic and international benefits.

มูลนิธิได้จัดกิจกรรมและรณรงค์ในหลายประเด็น เช่น การร่วมกับเครือข่ายในการผลักดันร่างพระราชบัญญัติคู่ชีวิต การผลักดันเชิงนโยบายเพื่อให้ภาครัฐหยุดระบุกะเทยเป็นผู้ป่วยทางจิต การเคลื่อนไหวให้เกิดการรับรองเพศสภาพของ LGBTQIA+ ในกฎหมายการแก้ไขพระราชบัญญัติการอุ้มบุญ รวมถึงเดินหน้าสร้างแนวปฏิบัติสำหรับครอบครัวที่มีบุตรหลานเป็นกะเทย เพื่อมุ่งเปลี่ยนแปลงทัศนคติของเพื่อนร่วมสังคมต่อ LGBTQIA+ ซึ่งมีวัตถุประสงค์หลัก 3 ข้อ ดังนี้

1. เพื่อรวบรวมข้อมูลที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเพศทางเลือกและสร้างชุดความรู้สำหรับเพศทางเลือกในประเทศไทย
2. เพื่อเสริมสร้างความสามารถและทักษะของสมาชิกในกลุ่มและองค์กรที่ทำงานเกี่ยวกับเพศทางเลือกในประเทศไทย
3. เพื่อเพิ่มการเข้าใจและความตระหนักรู้เกี่ยวกับอัตลักษณ์และสิทธิของเพศทางเลือก และเพื่อสร้างการประสานงานและการมีส่วนร่วมอย่างสร้างสรรค์ของสังคมพลเมือง เพื่อการปรับปรุงสังคมไทย



The foundation has organized activities and campaigns on various issues, such as collaborating with other LGBTQIA+ networks to promote the drafting of a civil partnership bill. They advocate for policy changes to prevent the state from categorizing transgender individuals as mentally ill. They work towards legal recognition of gender identity for LGBTQIA+ individuals in amendments to the merit-making act. They also strive to create progressive practices for families with transgender children. These efforts aim to transform societal attitudes toward the LGBTQIA+ community. The main objectives of these endeavors are as follows:

1. To gather relevant data and create knowledge resources on alternative gender identities in Thailand.
2. To enhance the abilities and skills of members within groups and organizations working on alternative gender identities in Thailand.
3. To increase understanding and awareness of the identities and rights of individuals with alternative gender identities, as well as to foster constructive collaboration and meaningful participation of citizens in order to improve Thai society.
