มูลนิธิกระจกเงา ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปี 1991 เป็นองค์กรไม่แสวงหาผลกำไร ที่ทำงานเกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาสังคมหลายๆ ด้าน ได้แก่ งานด้านสิทธิมนุษยชน งานด้านสื่อและเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ งานพัฒนาอาสาสมัครและการแบ่งปันทรัพยากร เพื่อเพิ่มศักยภาพในการเรียนรู้และการใช้ชีวิต โดยมีพื้นที่ปฏิบัติงานทั้งบนสังคมออนไลน์ (internet) สังคมเมืองและสังคมชนบท โดยทำหน้าที่เป็นกระจกเงาที่สะท้อนเรื่องราวความเป็นจริงของสังคมและให้ความช่วยเหลือผู้ที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงของสังคมด้วยวิธีคิด คือ การสร้างคนและสร้างนวัตกรรมสร้างความเปลี่ยนแปลงแก่สังคม

สมบัติ บุญงามอนงค์ ประธานกรรมการมูลนิธิกระจกเงา ได้รวมกลุ่มกับเพื่อนๆ 5 คน ในช่วงที่สังคมไทยเกิดวิกฤติการณ์ทางการเมือง หลังเหตุการณ์รัฐประหาร รสช 23 กพ 1991 ดำเนินกิจกรรมรณรงค์ต่อต้านการทำรัฐประหาร และเรียกร้องให้มีการยกเลิกกฏอัยการศึก และได้ก่อตั้งกลุ่มศิลปวัฒนธรรมกระจกเงา ในช่วงปลายปี 1991 จนต่อมาเปลี่ยนเป็น มูลนิธิกระจกเงา และพัฒนาโครงการมากมาย



The Mirror Foundation was established in 1991 as a non-profit organization that works in various aspects of social development. These include human rights, media and information technology, volunteer development, and resource sharing to enhance learning and life skills. The foundation operates in online social platforms (internet), urban communities, and rural areas, serving as a mirror that reflects the true stories of society and provides assistance to those impacted by social changes through innovative thinking. Its main objective is to empower individuals and create social innovations that bring about positive changes.

Boonnam Angam, the chairman of The Mirror Foundation, joined forces with five friends during a political crisis in Thai society following the events of the February 23, 1991 coup d'état. They engaged in campaigns against military coups and called for the abolition of martial law. Initially, they formed the Shadow Mirror Cultural Group, which later transformed into The Mirror Foundation.

โครงการช่วยเหลือสังคมของมูลนิธิกระจกเงา

• โครงการป่วยให้ยืม: เปิดรับบริจาคอุปกรณ์ทางการแพทย์ที่ไม่ใช้งานแล้วตามบ้าน นำมาบริหารจัดการ และเปิดให้ยืมใช้ฟรี เพื่อครอบครัวผู้ป่วยรายใหม่ที่มีความต้องการใช้งาน
• ศูนย์ข้อมูลคนหายเพื่อต่อต้านการค้ามนุษย์: ให้คำแนะนำ ประสานงานช่วยเหลือครอบครัวคนหายให้สามารถเข้าถึงกระบวนการยุติธรรม และช่วยเหลือคนหายให้กลับคืนสู่ครอบครัวด้วยความปลอดภัย
• โครงการผู้ป่วยข้างถนน: รับแจ้งเคส ตรวจสอบและนำเคสผู้ป่วยข้างถนน เข้าถึงการเข้ารับการรักษาสุขภาพร่างกายยังสถานพยาบาล ร่วมถึงการประสานบ้านพัก สถานสงเคราะห์
• โครงการอาสามาเยี่ยม: ลงพื้นที่เยี่ยมเคสผู้ป่วยและครอบครัวถึงบ้านเพื่อเยียวยาให้กำลังใจ พื้นที่นำร่อง จ.ปทุมธานี
• จ้างวานข้า (จ้างงานคนไร้บ้านโดยมูลนิธิกระจกเงา): คนไร้บ้านได้มีรายได้ เข้าถึงอาหารการกินได้มากขึ้น จากการถูกจ้างงาน
• โครงการโรงพยาบาลมีสุข: พื้นที่ในการทำกิจกรรมของโครงการโรงพยาบาลมีสุข อยู่ที่โรงพยาบาลพระมงกุฏเกล้า และโรงพยาบาลพระนั่งเกล้า



The Social Assistance Projects of The Mirror Foundation include:

• Borrowing Illness Project: Accepting donations of unused medical equipment from households, managing and lending them for free to newly diagnosed patients and families in need.
• Missing Persons Data Center to Combat Human Trafficking: Providing guidance and coordinating assistance for families of missing persons to access the justice process and ensure the safe return of missing individuals to their families.
• Street Patients Project: Receiving reports, verifying cases, and assisting street patients in accessing healthcare services at medical facilities, including coordinating temporary shelter and welfare institutions.
• Volunteer Visitation Project: Conducting home visits to provide encouragement and support to patients and their families, serving as a leading area in Pathum Thani province.
• Hire a Vagabond (Employing Homeless Individuals by Shadow Mirror Foundation): Providing income opportunities for homeless individuals and increasing their access to food and sustenance through employment.
• Happy Hospital Project: The project's activities take place at Phramongkutklao Hospital and Phranangklao Hospital, aiming to create a joyful environment within the hospital premises.
